Description
Kforce is looking for a Director, Cloud Applications Operation Engineering, for a direct hire role with our direct client in Trevose, PA. The Director will provide direct oversight of the engineering staff to deliver end to end, high quality, timely resolution to post-release incidents from problem identification to closure. This position will work a hybrid work model - 2 days in office located in Philadelphia suburbs. Summary: In this role, the Director manages Incident Response from Level 2 through Level 3 and drives towards resolution and production deployment. The Cloud Application Operation Engineering team will partner with the Product Development Teams to provide proactive support and technical guidance necessary to manage products over their life cycle. The Director will also lead proactive planning and implementation of initiatives to continuously improve the products and system stability, reliability, scalability, and recoverability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or similar field required; Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing an engineering team and proven leadership skills and ability to lead a team of technical professionals while continuing to strengthen team building
- Hands-on software development experiences
- Deep understanding of cloud technology, such as AWS and Azure. Intimately familiar with various tools such as Cloud Watch, Splunk, Elastic, AppDynamic, NewRelic, etc.
- Hands-on experiences of developing Ci/CD pipeline and build/deployment automation
- Extensive experiences with test automation and common tools set
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
